Ingredients

  • milk – 350 ml
  • sunflower oil – 2 tbsp
  • sugar – 4 tbsp
  • salt – a pinch
  • plain flour – 3,5 glasses
  • yeast – 1 tbsp
  • vanilla sugar – 1 pack
  • sugar for the filling – 1.5 glasses

Method

  1. Step 1

Let's start by preparing the dough. Add yeast and sugar to well-warm, but not too hot, milk. Let it rest for 5-10 minutes until the “cap” appears.

  2. Step 2

Then add salt, vanilla sugar, vegetable oil and gradually add flour. The dough should be soft, not clogged with flour. Mix well and leave in a bowl. Cover with a towel or cling film and leave for about 1 hour. During this time, the dough should increase at least 2 times. Knead again and the dough is ready!

  3. Step 3

Lightly grease the table and hands with vegetable oil. Divide the finished dough into parts and form “koloboks”. Take 1 part and roll it out to a thickness of about 5 mm. Sprinkle the dough with sugar and roll it into a tube. Then we fold the tube in half, turn them so that one half lies on the other, and cut both tubes with a sharp knife, without cutting through the edges of the dough, which we lightly press with our fingers. Separate it into 2 halves and we get a heart.

  4. Step 4

Place the buns on a baking tray and leave for 20 minutes - they should “fit”. It is better to cover the baking tray with baking parchment - this way our buns will not stick, and the baking tray itself will remain clean.

  5. Step 5

Bake in a preheated oven at 180 ͦ for about 20 minutes.
