Quinoa after supper is still in the pot — warm, and the table has moved on. You can leave it “for morning”: by breakfast a lump, the hand to the bin. I divide it into the cold at once: a bowl for cucumber and egg tomorrow, not a night stuck hill under the lid.
Leftover cooked quinoa — into tomorrow’s bowl. Cooked rice is another note; couscous into a salad its own; lentils and chickpeas their own stories. Here it’s the quinoa after the pot itself: one road into a bowl — not a lecture about “supergrain”.
The cold holds a day or two. Sour smell or slimy — bin, I don’t mask it with sesame. I don’t stand raw mince beside it. I’m not building a new “bowl with shop tahini” here — it’s about the quinoa already cooked at ours.
I don’t need quinoa that cools in the pot until shame. I need a bowl for tomorrow from which the morning still smells of grain. At yours does quinoa after supper go into a bowl — or already wait for the bin under the lid?
